The Black Ink Coalition of African American Authors is an opportunity that we are creating to come together in one accord and use the strength in our numbers to improve our results in connecting with the community and reaching our goals as writers.
The Black Ink Coalition of African American Authors is founded on the efforts of authors Willie Dinish Jr, Theola Bright, and Arthur L. Mack as they were drawn to interact with each other in the Mobile, AL writing community and market. The efforts of the Black Ink Coalition of African American Authors are coordinated by Willie Dinish, III.

Our Principal Members
Willie Dinish, Jr.
Willie Dinish Jr. is a born native of Mobile, AL. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force and served over 20 years, retiring with the rank of Technical Sergeant. During his time in the military he traveled the world and began writing to fill the hours of his travels. He continues to write today having published a novel in collaboration with his son, Willie Dinish, III and a book of poetry, Thoughts. He also has several short stories that are in development for publication and he continues to support the efforts of the Black Ink Coalition. He serves as the Artist Outreach Partner for the Black Ink Coalition.
Theola Bright
Theola Bright is the CEO of TC Bright Productions Ministry, Inc. She is a multi-talented artist from Mobile, Alabama
who writes, recites, and delights her audiences with poetry, songs, and sometimes dance. Her ministry's goal is to use her experiences and talents to empower, encourage, enlighten, and inspire by using the culinary, literary, performing and visual arts to spread the Good News. She is the author of 3 books of poetry, an educational cookbook, various newspaper articles in the local community and her first novel, A Circle of Love, is being developed into a feature film.
Arthur L. Mack
Arthur L. Mack (1954-) is a native of Mobile, Alabama. He is a graduate of Bishop State Junior (now Community) College and the University of South Alabama. He is also a retired welfare case manager and spent nearly 24 years in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Naval Reserves, receiving various numerous military awards, and commendations. He has a certificate from the Newspaper Institute of America, and is a freelance writer who currently writes for several newspapers and websites. In addition to a 30-plus year writing career which has involved contributing articles to various newspapers and magazines, Mack has won several awards from the Alabama Press Association and the Alabama Sportswriters Association. Arthur Mack is the author of several books of fiction including Dignity Before Dollars, Tales from the Blackside and Conflicted.

Self Publishing & Innovating Your Dream - February 2020

In Celebration of Black History Month, The Black Ink Coalition invites you to join us Thursday, February 20th 2020, at USA Marx Library for "Self Publishing & Innovating Your Dream" with the Black Ink Coalition of African American Authors. Doors Open at 5:30 PM. Event Time is from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Join us for an Author Panel, Author Readings, and Community Connection with these local authors who write, live and work here in Mobile, AL. Marx Library is located on the University of South Alabama campus. This is a free event! Refreshments will be served.
